Dr. Syed Shahid Mazhar
Professor, Department of Business Management, Integral Business School
Dr. Syed Shahid Mazhar is an alumnus of the Central University of Allahabad,
where he obtained a Ph.D. in International Trade and Finance and is UGC-NET
qualified. His academic credentials include an MBA in International Business from
SHUATS, Allahabad, and an M.Com from Central University of Allahabad,
specializing in Accounting and Finance.
He joined Integral University in 2013 and also served as Head of the Department
from November 2018 to September 2024. Before joining Integral University, he
worked as an Assistant Professor at AKTU-affiliated institutions in Allahabad for
five years.
He possesses over 15 years of teaching experience in commerce and business
management and has successfully supervised 12 Ph.D. candidates on diverse topics,
including export incentives and concessions, venture capital, microfinance, and
financial inclusion. His research interests encompass management strategies, mutual
funds, and the empowerment of rural women.
Dr. Mazhar has published approximately 50 papers in UGC-approved, Web of
Science, and Scopus-indexed journals, focusing on financial inclusion, Islamic
financial services, venture capital, corporate social responsibility, and export
performance. He has authored books and contributed chapters to edited volumes,
addressing emerging trends in business and finance. Additionally, he holds several
published patents on innovative topics such as integrating AI for organizational
performance, blockchain in inventory management, and securing financial
transactions using IoT.
He has played a significant role in curriculum development, faculty board activities,
and research committees. Furthermore, he has served on various administrative
bodies at Integral University, contributing to the academic and organizational
development of the institution.
He is a lifetime member of the Indian Accounting Association and is actively
involved in the Lucknow Management Association. He has provided consultancy
services for Earthcon Constructions Pvt. Ltd., applying his expertise in management
strategies.
Moreover, he has participated in numerous faculty development programs and
workshops, enhancing his pedagogical and research skills, and thereby establishing
himself as a well-rounded scholar and educator.
