Admission Process

Admission Application Process

Candidates having passed the qualifying examination i.e. Intermediate for UG Programme, Graduation for PG Programme and Post Graduation for Doctoral Programme with the required minimum percentage of marks in aggregate as given in the Prospectus are eligible to apply for admission to the respective Programmemes.

Upon the allotment of admission, the admission shall be treated as confirmed only after (i) Payment of total Applicable Fees and (ii) Verification of all Original Documents, within stipulated time period, failing which the admission shall be considered as cancelled.

Online Application

Candidates can apply online for admission through admission.iul.ac.in by filling online admission application form followed by paying prescribed application fee within the time limit specified by the university. The candidate shall be required to upload colour scanned copy of the requisite certificates and testimonials as specified in the admission form on the online portal.

Paper Based Application

Candidates can purchase admission application form also from the University campus, authorized book stores & submit the same in the Directorate of Admissions and Academics of University with all complete information along with required documents.

Admission Procedure

Admission in selected test Programmes will be based on Integral University Entrance Test (IUET). Candidates seeking admission in MBA Programme shall have to go through a personal interview after IUET before admission.

Admission can also be done through Online mode. For this the candidate must request the Directorate of Admissions & Academics to provide link of the same. By clicking on the link the candidate is redirected to payment link and after deposition of the required fee his online provisional admission will be done.

Important Note

Candidates who have appeared in the Qualifying Examination and have also applied for admission in any Programme of this University should submit the Marks Sheet of the qualifying examination within one month from the date of provisional admission failing which the admission will be automatically cancelled and deposited fee be forfeited.

Number of Seats in the University

On the recommendation of the Board of Studies/Faculty Board, Admission Committee, the Academic Council, shall fix the number of seats in various Programmes of the University at the beginning of each academic session in accordance with availability of teachers and infrastructure and as per permissions received from regulatory bodies.

Alteration of seats in different Programme

  • The Academic Council may propose the alteration of seats in different Programmes through the recommendation of Admission Committee/Alteration by regulatory bodies/BOS/Faculty Board.
  • The Vice Chancellor shall recommend the alteration of seats to the higher statutory bodies stating reasons for such.
  • The Higher Statutory Bodies may approve the alteration as proposed by the Academic Council and recommended by the Vice Chancellor. Provided that such alteration shall not be made for those Programmes for which specific number of seats is permitted by regulatory bodies.

Reservation of Seats

  • Integral University was established through Uttar Pradesh Government Act No. 9 of 2004 known as Integral University Act 2004, as a minority educational university through clause 6 of the Act which permits reservation upto 50 % for the minority community.
  • Integral University as empowered by the act is not mandated to earmark specific number of seats for reserved category. However Integral University admits students from diverse backgrounds and is open to all. 50% of the seats are open to general category. Reservation for girls, physically handicapped and NRI are also available within these categories.

Cancellation of Admissions

For cancellation of admission, the student is required to fill the prescribed form available in the Directorate of Admissions & Academics. The fee returned guidelines are governed by the Rules and Regulations provided by the UGC from time to time.

Hostel Allotment

For availing the hostel facility the students are required to fill the prescribed Hostel Admission Form. After depositing the prescribed fee the student is allotted the room at the Hostel.

Important Information

  • For the Test Programme, students shall have to appear for an Entrance Test which shall be conducted by University.
  • The National Entrance Test for admissions to the Test courses will be known as Integral University Entrance Test (IUET)
  • IUET will be an online test carrying multiple choice questions to be held in the University campus.
  • There will be no negative marking.
  • The dates regarding Written Test shall be notified to students accordingly from time to time.
  • The duration of the test will be 90 minutes and it will be held on every Monday of the week from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
  • Syllabus of IUET will be the syllabus of the qualifying examination.
  • The Application form, complete in all respects, should reach the Directorate of Admissions & Academics, Integral University, Lucknow on or before the scheduled
  • date of test through Registered Post/ Speed Post/ Courier/ Online application, etc.
  • Relaxation of 5% in the Eligibility Criteria in terms of percentage marks in qualifying examination shall be granted to candidates belonging to reserved
  • category (SC/ST/OBC).
  • Candidates who are due to appear or have appeared in the qualifying examination and whose results are awaited are also eligible to appear in IUET.
  • Candidates who have qualified JEE (MAIN)/JEE ADVANCED) /UPSEE/ CMAT/ UPCATET/ AMUEEE/ Uni-GAUGE/State Level Engineering Entrance Exams across India & Entrance
  • Exams conducted by the prominent universities are exempted from IUET. Such candidates are required to submit the relevant Score Card for availing exemptions.
  • All provisions given in the Prospectus shall be binding and acceptable to the students and their parents / guardians. Any change made from time to time in the rules, regulations and fees of the University shall mutatis mutandis apply to the admitted students.

Documents Required for Admission

  • Marksheets and Certificates of High School and Intermediate Examination.
  • Marksheets and Degree of Graduate / Post Graduate Examination (if applicable).
  • School Leaving Certificate / Migration / Transfer Certificate.
  • Character Certificate.
  • Affidavits in case of discontinuity in education for one or more years (if any).
  • Latest coloured photographs (5 Nos.).
  • Caste Certificate (for OBC/SC/ST candidates) and Socially and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).
  • Copy of Aadhaar Card of student and parents.
  • Income Certificate of Parents.
  • Certificate of Physical Disability, issued and duly signed by the Civil Surgeon/competent Medical Authority, in case the candidate belongs to a PH Category (if applicable).

Important Information & Rules

  • Who have been admitted to the University shall have to abide by the University rules and regulations, and the amendments made therein from time to time. No litigation shall therefore be tenable.
  • Every student must carry/bear his/her identity card while being on the campus.
  • Students should be regular and punctual in attendance in classes and participation in extra-curricular/co-curricular activities right from the start to the end of the semester/year.
  • Students should follow a decent dress code when they come to the University.
  • Students are expected to behave in a responsible manner and maintain decorum in the University.
  • This University strictly follows the directions of the Hon'ble Supreme Court and regulations of the University Grants Commission for preventing and curbing the menace of ragging in Educational Institutions. These regulations, in full, are displayed on notice boards and are also posted on the website of this University. All the candidates, in their own interest, are advised to study and follow these regulations in both letter and spirit during their studies and stay in this University. Ragging is totally prohibited on and off the campus. If any student is found indulging in any form of ragging, he/she is liable to be punished as per University rules as per the directions of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India. A complaint committee of women against sexual harassment has also been formed to deal with any such untoward cases.
  • Admission entitlement is not by virtue of right, even if a candidate is otherwise eligible.
  • Candidates shall have to submit a transfer/migration certificate, from the university or college where he/she was studying earlier, at the time of reporting for admission to a course in this University.
  • At any stage, if it is found that a candidate has used some fraudulent means to seek admission, or has made incorrect statement(s), he/she shall not be granted admission or if already admitted, such admission shall be cancelled at any stage.
  • Applications of the candidates whose qualifying examinations are recognized by the University shall only be considered for admission.
  • During processing or verification of the documents, if any error or omission is found, the University shall have the right to cancel such admissions.
  • Eligibility criteria shall not be relaxed.
  • The candidate must ensure his/her eligibility to appear in the entrance examination. If a candidate, who is ineligible to appear in the examination, does so, he/she will not have any claim whatsoever on admission.
  • Candidates are required to produce the original documents such as marks sheet and certificates of the qualifying examination at the time of interview/reporting for admission. Candidates in respect of whom, the result of the qualifying examination has not been declared by the date of admission, due to any reason whatsoever, shall only be eligible for provisional admission. The candidates will have to produce original documents within 2 months from the commencement of classes to confirm their admission, failing which, the provisional admission will be cancelled.
  • The candidates selected for admission counselling of different Programmes shall be intimated through email. The applicant can also check the admission counselling dates from the Integral University website. The University shall not be responsible for any delay or non-delivery of letter.
  • The chance of candidate not reporting for the admission on the due date and time shall be forfeited and the offer of admission shall be made to the next candidate in order of merit. No correspondence in this regard shall be entertained.
  • No intimation shall be sent to those students who are not selected and also their application/fee/photocopy of certificates/documents shall not be returned.
  • Canvassing in any form shall render an applicant “Disqualified”.
  • No candidate shall be allowed to take admission simultaneously in two regular courses.
  • Late applications/incomplete applications/applications without requisite fee/application not submitted on the prescribed form shall not be entertained.
  • The University has not appointed any consultant or outside agency for admission. Candidates should remain cautious and directly contact the Directorate of Admissions & Academics office for any query or assistance regarding admission.

The University has reserved the following rights

  • Not to disclose the marks obtained by a candidate in any admission test / interview / aptitude test, etc.
  • Not to admit a candidate to a Programme of study, even if a notification inviting applications for admission has been issued, if the number of applications received is less than 40% of the sanctioned intake for a particular Programme.
  • Not to admit any of the candidates on valid grounds without intimating reasons to the candidate/parents.
  • The candidates should not make any payment anywhere except at the University Accounts Office and must obtain a proper receipt.
  • A full-time student of this University will not be allowed to join any full-time job anywhere. If found otherwise, his/her admission will stand cancelled.
  • All disputes/legal matters shall be covered under Lucknow jurisdiction only.
  • Every year the IUET starts in the month of April/May.
  • Students shall have to go for Summer Training / Project work arranged by the Center for Career Guidance and Development (CCG&D) or by themselves.
  • Please visit the Integral University website for the NRI fee structure.
  • Bus Fee will be charged based on location/distance.
  • The fee shall be paid through Demand Draft drawn in favour of   "Treasurer, Integral University" , payable at Lucknow. No cash/cheques will be accepted.
  • The caution money deposited by the students at the time of admission is refunded only on completion of the course and withdrawal after clearing all dues. The same shall be claimed immediately after course completion. The amount will be transferred into the student’s account in the Punjab National Bank branch situated on the campus. All students are advised to open their accounts in the same branch and provide the account number to the concerned section.
  • Students should ensure that their permanent/postal addresses for communication are updated in the University records.
  • Application form and processing fee is Rs. 1000/- for Indian applicants and $100 for foreign applicants.
  • Application form can also be downloaded from   http://iul.ac.in/AdmissionForm.aspx   and submitted along with a Demand Draft of the requisite fee.
