Dr. Vidit Srivastava

Dr. Vidit Srivastava is an alumnus of the Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Guwahati, from where he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality and Hotel Administration. He subsequently completed his M.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration with specialization in Human Resources from IHM Lucknow. He has also completed his Ph.D. in Hospitality Management from CT University, Ludhiana, Punjab. His academic and professional interests are primarily focused on hospitality management, human resource management, employee retention, and emerging trends in the hospitality industry.
He joined Integral University, Lucknow, in September 2023 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Hotel Management and is currently contributing to teaching, student mentoring, curriculum development, research, and academic activities. He is actively involved in developing and implementing innovative curriculum, student engagement, industry-oriented learning, and guiding students in their academic and professional development. He is also actively involved in Training and Placement activities for Hotel Management students, facilitating their training, internships, industry exposure, and career opportunities. He contributes to the overall development of the Hotel Management programme through various academic and departmental activities. Prior to joining Integral University, he worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Hotel Management at BBD University, Lucknow. He has also gained industry exposure through his HR internship at Paradise Pursuits and Industrial training at Novotel Lucknow.
Dr. Srivastava has a keen interest in research related to the hospitality sector, particularly employee retention, human resource management, workplace equity and equality, customer relationship management, ecotourism, and the application of technology in hospitality. His research work includes studies on employee retention strategies in five-star hotels of Uttar Pradesh, employee satisfaction, customer relationship management in fast-food chains, ecotourism in the Himalayas, and the evolution of technology in the hospitality service sector.He has published research papers in reputed journals and has contributed chapters to scholarly publications, including work published through Scopus-indexed and international academic platforms. His research contributions cover contemporary areas of hospitality and tourism, including employee retention, technology adoption, customer satisfaction, ecotourism, and Awadhi cuisine.
Dr. Srivastava has also undertaken research projects on topics such as the impact of the beef ban on Tunday Kababi in Lucknow and the spiritual concept of tourists visiting Kushinagar. His academic achievements include receiving the Best Assistant Professor Award from Aaharways for the Lucknow Region and an award from BPCL for his contribution to the hospitality industry. He has also contributed to the setup and development of Hotel Management departments and has served as a Training and Placement In-charge, contributing to the training, internship, and career development of Hotel Management students.He has actively participated in several Faculty Development Programmes, workshops, and training programmes focusing on teaching methodology, research, pedagogy, learning approaches, and emerging trends in hospitality and healthcare services. These programmes have further strengthened his pedagogical and research capabilities and helped him remain updated with contemporary developments in hospitality education.
Dr. Srivastava has also received a National Tour Guide Certificate from the Government of India and has been actively involved in extracurricular and cultural activities. He is a keen learner, strategic thinker, and performance-oriented academician with a strong interest in curriculum development, student engagement, mentorship, research, training and placement, and industry collaboration. He is committed to creating engaging learning environments, fostering students' academic and professional growth, and contributing to the advancement of hospitality education.
