Dr. Sadaf Khan

Dr. Sadaf Khan is an Assistant Professor of Communication in the Department of Business Management at Integral University, Lucknow. She earned her Ph.D. in Sociolinguistics from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore. Her research interests include English language teaching, sociolinguistics, linguistic anthropology, language attitudes and ideologies, language hegemony and shift, language and identity, and medium of instruction in India.Her work has been published in leading international, Scopus-indexed journals, including Humanities & Social Sciences Communications (Nature Portfolio, Q1), Journal of Language, Identity & Education (Q1) , Current Issues in Language Planning (Q1), The Journal of Educational Research (Q2), and other Q1 and Q2 journals.
Dr. Khan has presented her research at numerous national and international conferences across India, Germany, Malaysia, Egypt, and the United States. She received the Best Paper Presentation Award at the 17th International & 53rd Annual Conference of the English Language Teachers' Association of India (ELTAI) and was awarded the Departmental Gold Medal for securing the highest academic standing in her Bachelor's degree.
She serves as an Editorial Assistant for the Journal of Education, Language, and Ideology (JELI). She is also a member of the International Linguistic Association (ILA), and the Linguistic Society of India (LSI).
Before joining Integral University, Dr. Khan served as a Teaching Assistant at IIT Indore, where she taught courses in Language and Composition, Language, Mind and Society, Language and Society, and Research Methodology. She also worked as an English Language Trainer at the British School of Languages, Lucknow, delivering courses in English and Business English.
At Integral University, she teaches Business Communication (BBA), Communication Skills & Personality Development (MBA), and Communication Skills and Personal Grooming (BHM). Her teaching focuses on business and professional communication, workplace communication, presentation skills, personality development, and experiential learning, with an emphasis on developing students' communication competence for academic and professional success.
